As part of the CAC (Culture et Art au Collège) program at the Jean Zay secondary school:
In conjunction with a circus course in PE and the music program, we are proposing a project that will introduce students to musical juggling with the artist Dimas Tivane. This course will enable students to discover and deepen the multiple relationships that exist between juggling and music. Juggling is based on techniques and visual writing, but also on a musicality initiated by juggling and body movements in which breath, voice and tempo are the key words.
Emphasis will be placed on both technical and artistic aspects: use of the body for rhythm, coordination and precision; use of objects for different manipulation techniques; approach to notations and composition, through different examples in the history
of music and juggling, but also by developing one’s own creativity.
