Casting

My approach is that of a craftsman, producing an object from the material, and that of an artist seeking no rules of use, just the manipulation of a space I’ve built but don’t control.

This is where I want to develop a plastic circus.

This show is about a decomposing space with which I interact. Here, each scenographic element responds to its own logic of cause and effect. It’s the search for a particular aesthetic that composes and recomposes, builds and deconstructs. I’m an actor in a world that metamorphoses according to its whims, moving from breakage to flow, from liquefaction to solidity.

Compagnie La Friche

La Friche is an emerging company juggling circus and visual arts.

It was founded in 2023 by Julien Ladenburger following his graduation from the National Center for Circus Arts, to house his first project: “La coulée”. She defends the artisanal side of creation, where world-building rhymes with handmade work. It’s here that she hopes to develop a plastic circus.
