The Maison des Jonglage is offering a series of contact juggling discovery and practice workshops with the Cie L'Envolée Cirque for fourteen classes from Bondy's Jean Rostand elementary school, from CP to CM2. This inventive course will give our young jugglers a taste for working together and develop their coordination and fine motor skills.

This series of workshops, taught to the school’s 300 students, will explore the notions of contact points and balancing objects from different angles, as well as the range of illusions that can result. For some twenty years now, Cie L’Envolée Cirque has nurtured a particular fondness for contact juggling, a demanding discipline in which illusion, balance and mastery of stops and rolls on the body are interwoven. To prepare students for what they’ll be working on during the workshops, and to give them an idea of what’s to come, students and teaching staff will attend a performance of Le vertige de l’envers on November 19, prior to the workshops, as well as Trajectoire, in February 2025. These two shows are linked by their discipline and the project’s theme: contact juggling and the crossing of the sensitive. The workshops will be led by three guest artists: Nicolas Longuechaud, Abel Chahbi and Michèle D’Angelo, and will invite students to discover contact juggling through different approaches. These disciplines and approaches will, among other things, raise awareness of the body and fine motor skills.
