Grotto

A disoriented man tries to integrate himself into the world, a world he doesn’t understand and which sinks him at every step. From shipwreck to shipwreck, this character discovers and reveals his colors and his true self in a transparent and luminous way.

This man creates a peculiar absurdist logic in his world: he invents imaginary friends, he uses different tools to make people laugh, and he seeks a link with the society from which he has distanced himself for so long, and of which he tries to become a part, failing in a comic way.

Tender coarseness, bricolage, music, object manipulation and the laser of death merge in this tragicomic experience. Recycling, surprises and the contrast between total commitment and relaxation from action take this character on a journey through emotions, absurdity and incoherence.

Sirio Rubio

Born in Madrid, Spain, on August 29, 1993. Sirio began performing at the age of 10, in the opera Carmen at Madrid’s Teatro Real.

In 2013, with other colleagues, He co-founded the company Pass and Company, within CARAMPA (Spain), with which they won the prize for best show at the Teatros del Canal international competition in Madrid.

Eager to discover the world, learn about other cultures and develop his skills, he decided to enroll at the CODARTS circus university (Rotterdam, Netherlands), then at Le Lido (Toulouse, France). After leaving school, he took part in several group projects.

Today, he decides to launch himself with this one-man-show.
