Gilles Dodemont

Originally from a small village north of Charleroi in Belgium. It was with the diabolo that he created his first routines and as a teenager he began to experiment with the stage.

After his studies in graphic design, he devoted himself to ball juggling. Later, he enters the Regional Center for Circus Arts in Lomme. There he discovered more deeply the possibilities of the body and the game combined with juggling but also the practice of improvisation and rhythmic writing. He was taught by Gaëlle Biselach-Roig, Collectif Protocole, Jean-Daniel Fricker, Eric Longequel and Thibault Villemin, who did not leave him indifferent.
Today, he is an active member of Le Collectif du Plateau with whom he created Jongler Sans Viser la Perfection, his first long solo show, and performs his own numbers(Hugues, POWDER, I’m yours, le grand chien...). He also works as a juggling instructor at the Centre Régional des Arts du Cirque de Lomme in Lille.

Curious about everything that can enhance juggling, he is eager to push the walls of the still nascent discipline of contemporary juggling.
