Fatiga / La mémoire des objets

The object of daily use and the memory that they are, is what mainly motivated me to develop Fatiga, to try to invent a language through a shoe or a tea bag.
To communicate with others, through these objects and perhaps, to have the possibility of sharing with the world, a little of what preoccupies me.

I want to understand the meaning of an object in my hands, to know its stories and secrets. I want to create a world through what I call “everyday juggling”.
It’s the sweetness of my mother keeping things in a cabinet or the caress with which my grandmother folded her handkerchiefs. This motivates me, the re-signification of a memory through an object that can change and transform into a scene.

Guided by the desire to take its shows around the world, with the slogan “The odyssey for the pleasure of making people laugh”, the company has participated in more than 100 festivals in 30 countries on the American, European and Asian continents.

The shows – Pelotas y un Pelota (2006), Clown para no reír (2010), Petit (2012), Fatiga (2021-22) – are one-man shows, for the whole family, performed by Chilean artist Claudio Martinez, clown, mime, juggler and balancing act.
