The main activities of the Maison des Jonglages are centered around transdisciplinary contemporary creation combining the arts of juggling and object manipulation.

However, in this year of the 2024 Olympic Games, and as part of the Cultural Olympiad, the Maison des Jonglages wanted to invite, in front of the French public, the teams, particularly American, who support the development of juggling as a sport and are campaigning for it to be officially included in the Olympic disciplines one day.

This event, supported by the WJF, showcases the very highest level of technical skills, which also constitute a common base and culture for creative artists in this field.

June 30 – 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. – Juggling competition as part of the Jogging festival

Four world juggling champions go head-to-head in a championship held only every 4 years!

Held only once every 4 years, participants compete in three accessory categories: balls, rings and clubs! Each round is no longer than 4 minutes, with movements submitted to the jury in advance.

A first panel of judges focuses on the execution of each movement, while a second assigns an execution score, calculating various penalties for errors such as falls, incomplete executions, collisions and superfluous body movements.

With :

  • U.S. overall champion for 2017, 2021 and 2022 Spencer Androli
  • Norwegian champion for 2019 Eivind Dragsjø
  • German champion for 2017 Christian Hauschild
  • 2013 and 2015 U.S. champion Jonah Botvinick-Greenhouse
