AN ASSOCIATION AT THE SERVICE OF CREATION
On March 28, 2007, at the Théâtre de l’Athénée Louis Jouvet, around fifty organizations launched a joint operation to make the general public aware of the private copying system and its support mechanism for creation.
In 2008, to go further in this process, they created the association La Culture with La Copie Privée. The aim is to raise awareness of private copy levies and their benefits for the public and consumers, and to highlight their major role in cultural diversity and artistic vitality in France and other European countries that have adopted them.
The label La Culture avec la Copie Privée was born. Its logo of a double-circled “C” can thus be found on all the posters, albums and credits of the projects supported.
