The end is revealed, and with it the possibility of living it as we wish. Everything we know collapses, and with it, our cages. We choose to build an alternative reality; a space in which we reconcile with who we are. It’s playful, musical and colorful. Monstrous, exaggerated, free. Utopie pour un paysage en ruines is the last song, with its last dance.

In a devastated world where the apocalypse is imminent, two characters realize that the only thing they can choose is how to live in the moment before the end. UPPR explores this moment through 5 10-minute scenes, each proposing a different way of welcoming the end. Guided by a desire to reconcile with life and build new utopias, the play invites us to reclaim our being and create a present where, if only for a moment, freedom is possible.

Olga cirqanalogique

Catalina Aguayo and Alejandro Dutra created Olga CirqAnalogique in 2018, at the end of our professional training at the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque de Toulouse – ESACTO, Lido.

For us, Olga is the place where different forms of expression meet, the space where circus, dance, theater and music come together to hybridize and create a singular language.

Our driving force is to create metaphors in which our personal experiences and reflections can become universal symbols. Olga’s shows seek to make known our way of perceiving the world; they are created with an awareness of the place we have been socially assigned and the place we have chosen to occupy. As migrant, racialized and queer people, our desire is to be a mirror in which at least some minorities can see themselves represented.

Long Play was the company’s first show, premiering in 2022 at La Grainerie – Fabrique des Arts du Cirque et de l’Itinérance in Balma. It was shortlisted for Circusnext 2020-21, winner of the Travesía Pyrénnés de Cirque cross-border cooperation fund and subsidized by the city of Toulouse and the Haute-Garonne department.
