Stickman

As part of La Nuit du Cirque, an international event organized by Territoires de Cirque, with the support of the French Ministry of Culture.

In this wordless show, a man places a stick on different parts of his body. Together, they set themselves in motion. In the background, a television set comments, dictates and questions. It’s up to you to grasp the rules of a constantly changing game.

Darragh McLoughlin

Born in 1987, Darragh grew up in West Cork, Ireland. He is the youngest of three siblings and the son of two professional chefs. In 2006, he completed a full-time program at the Jonglier Katakomben juggling school. Darragh completed her circus training at ACAPA with a Bachelor of Circus Arts degree in 2012. Selected as winner of Circus Next in 2013. Author of the shows “Fragments d’un esprit”, “The Whistle”, “Stickman” and “For as Long as We’re Here”. Currently based in Berlin, he lives with his partner and son.

For the Nuit du Cirque, the City of Bondy, the Maison des Jonglages and ENACR in Rosny-sous-Bois join forces to promote contemporary circus through two evenings open to all audiences.

The show highlights ENACR’s star class, an amateur training program of excellence bringing together the most advanced students in the school’s leisure practices, aged 10 to 15. For this evening, the young artists revisit Hall 2, a collective creation inspired by the hustle and bustle of a railway station, with its hurried departures, interminable waits and unexpected reunions.
This version will be enriched by the participation of a number of students in post-professional training (3rd year), who will bring their perspective as future stage artists.
