La Maison des Jonglages has been developing various projects since 2020 involving artists and researchers.

As part of the 15th edition of the Rencontre des Jonglages festival, collaborative works will be presented at the Atelier du Plateau. The public is invited to enter a laboratory where researchers and artists will dialogue and then share their practices and their knowledge through new forms between art and scientific research.

Project in partnership with two CNRS laboratories: IREMAM (Institute for Research and Studies on Arab and Muslim Worlds) and the MMSH (Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l’Homme d’Aix en Provence).

Madam Secularism

Both a conference and a show, but also neither, Madame Laïcité , explores a founding and highly topical concept for many societies.

In this piece, a researcher, Vincent Geisser, a political scientist (IREMAM, Aix-Marseille University, CNRS) and an artist, Vincent Berhault, a juggler, director and director of the Maison des Jonglages, engage in a game of shapes to evoke questions related to secularism in a surprising way.

Living in Trouble with an Anthropolo-Juggling Cyborg

June 2021, Sylvain Pascal, a juggler with the Collectif Protocole, meets Cédric Parizot, an anthropologist at the Institut d’Études et de Recherche sur les Mondes Arabes et Musulmans. Together, they set off for a week in the Rochebelle district of Alès for the 14th wandering of the P ERIPLE 21 project. At the end of a week of juggled performances, encounters with residents and essays in urban anthropology, an anthropolo-juggling cyborg takes the stage.

April 2022, almost a year after this first adventure, they renew the experience at the Atelier du Plateau and invite the public to experience with them the boundaries of their disciplines.
