Two jugglers find themselves tied to the rules of running machines, while a musician orchestrates them through a series of games and experiments. A live circus show celebrating juggling and running.
Running is itself an incredibly efficient form of human locomotion. Have you ever thought about the number of muscles needed to run, the number of nerve pathways between the head and the leg that are used with each jump, what that means in terms of body coordination, for something that seems to be happening automatically ? Juggling is a similar phenomenon.
To celebrate the evolution of human walking and throwing in an increasingly immobile culture, we’ve created RUNNERS: a circus show combining excellent juggling, amazing objects and incredible sounds.

Hippana Maleta
The Hippana.Maleta company was formed in 2018 using juggling, manipulation and the body as a basis for building languages in which artists can explore aspects of the human condition. Alex Allison (IE), Jonas Schiffauer (DE) and Moisés Mas García (ES) explore and share their vision of circus, poetry and performance.
