A magical island is shared by humans and strangely shaped creatures. The manipulation of hoops, spirals, or hollow tubes, punctuate this journey into an absurd and immersive wonderland.
<3 (Smaller than three) is one of the 12 projects shortlisted for circusnext 2023. The Maison des Jonglages and circusnext have joined forces to give a pre-selected team the opportunity to present its research work in public.
In May 2023, 4 projects will finally be the winners of the 2023 edition.
Etienne Chauzy – Diabolo act
Etienne Chauzypresents a diabolo act in short format toa home-made musical composition. The artist tries to change the ” I usually hate diabolo “ to “ for the first time I found it nice! “.

A game of endurance and precision, like a hypnotic dance during which the flow of suspended projectiles plays with perpetual gravity for a short time.
Cie 7Bis – Lontano
In this performance, Lontano, who has the Cyr wheel as her totem, the acrobat Marica Marinoni, pushes the limits of the body, raising several questions: what is the place of our body today? Why do we choose to engage our bodies? What does a body want?
Through the dialogue between flesh and wheel, Marica produces before us a poignant and hypnotic language. To roll, to risk, to escape, to turn, to deconstruct by dint of blows and falls: Lontano is a challenge to the storm of drunkenness, a life impulse, and a hymn to resistance.
