Representation(s)

Inertie , released in June 2022, brought together circus artists and a sculptor to build, develop and inhabit a giant mobile sculpture that evolves in public space. We discover a beached top, an empty volume, abandoned to its circular trajectory. Once set in motion, two tightrope walkers walk on this double narrow path, concave and convex, generating unexpected movements where elegance and poetry meet control and skill.

Underclouds Cie

Since 2011, Underclouds Cie has been developing an imagined physical vocabulary and developing its shows, performances and site-specific creations on the razor’s edge, on the brink of the abyss and so close to flight.

The company likes above all to invent new apparatus and to play in unexpected places.

Over the course of her collaborations, she has created an unusual transportation vehicle, the “Funambus” (2012), revisited ceiling walking in a bottomless cube with “Petites Histoires Sans Gravité” (2016), tested giant table taming with “VerSant” (2018).

We have also explored the setting of a library, the approach of church towers, ship masts, blast furnaces and marquees with performances on cables at great heights.

For his 4th creation, Inertie, scheduled for June 2022, the desire is to associate circus artists and sculptors to build, develop and inhabit a giant mobile sculpture in the public space.
