Bal(les) is born from the meeting of two artists. One an acrobat, the other a juggler… two characters who play, tease and search for each other through their respective languages.
Bal(les) is a poetic and touching show, full of finesse. !

Bal(les) features Alexander Koblikov, one of the world’s best jugglers (Guinness World Records, gold medal at the Festival du Cirque de Demain and silver clown at Monte Carlo) and Charlotte de la Bretèque, an aerial artist in her own discipline of multicordes.

A show for all, offered as part of a day at the Parc départemental Georges-Valbon, with discovery and practice workshops (juggling, hula hoop, diabolo and yoyo) for children from La Courneuve leisure centers.

Compagnie Zalataï

Compagnie Zalataï was born in 2021 from the shared desire of Charlotte de la Bretèque and Alexander Koblikov to combine their artistic backgrounds and merge their distinct circus languages in a shared creative path.

From the outset, the company has forged a style all its own. Through its two creations, Palianytsia and Bal(les), Zalataï embraces the language of contemporary circus while pushing its boundaries – blending rare technical mastery with poetic imagery and deep emotional charge. This precision, far from being purely virtuoso, becomes a means of conveying vulnerability, presence and authenticity.

The scenography is deliberately subtle – almost invisible. It is the circus apparatus itself that evokes changing atmospheres, creates spaces and shapes the audience’s perception. Each object becomes a narrator.

Their first creation, Palianytsia, features three musicians playing live – a deliberate and deeply sincere choice. For Charlotte and Alexander, live music is not a mere accompaniment, but a living, vibrant presence that reinforces the immediacy of the show and anchors it fully in the present moment.

Keen to meet audiences wherever they may be, the duo have also created a more intimate, technically streamlined version of their work – Bal(les) – a mobile, adaptable form that can be deployed indoors or out, in theaters or in the open air.
