Representation(s)

Restitution of the masterclass directed by Darragh McLoughlin with students from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Emmanuelle Huynh and Julien Prévieux workshops) and apprentices from the Académie Fratellini.

Art is always experienced in a particular context. The [re]framing (or [re]framing) is the process by which the artist perceives the different angles through which his work is perceived, and then learns to play with these angles. The [re]framing reconsiders the artistic gesture by placing it within entirely new frameworks, thereby modifying its meaning.

The aim of of this masterclass is to give participants tools to navigate the multitude of layers that make up art.
