Turbula is a reverie through a sensitive, curious and elusive object: the oloid. A form inspired by the meandering of water, it invites us to wander along random, unstable and ephemeral paths, supported by precise, delicate and refined handling.
An escape from time, Turbula offers a breath of fresh air in a troubled, noisy world where nature and poetry intertwine.
Cie Après Coup – Cécile Poncet
Cie Après Coup is a non-profit organization founded in 2022 in La Tour-de-Peilz (Switzerland) by Cécile Poncet. At the crossroads of object and material manipulation, poetry and visual arts, the forms created develop a singular body vocabulary at the service of a poetic and playful universe. The association supports this approach through the creation of shows, the pooling of know-how and mediation. Après Coup’s themes of interest and research are linked in particular to interiority and otherness. Turbula is their first piece.
Cécile Poncet graduated from the National Centre for Circus Arts in London as a juggler. In her early years, she took part in several collective creations as a performer, notably with the Gandini Juggling company, while developing her own technique and relationship to object manipulation. Over the years, she completed her circus training at the Théâtre aux Mains Nues, the Théâtre du Mouvement in Paris and the Théâtre de Marionnettes in Geneva. In 2022, she founded the Cie Après Coup to develop her personal projects. She is now interested in a sensitive, lively dialogue with selected objects and materials, as close as possible to a practice that listens to forms, sounds and movements. Turbula, a wordless solo created in 2024, was selected for the Off en Salle program at the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes 2025 in Charleville-Mézières (France).
