Representation(s)
The artists of Cie l’Envolée cirque, after working with pupils at école Rostand during the school year, present shows from their repertoire.
By manipulating large balloons, two characters take us on a journey through their universe, between heaven and earth, bouncing and hanging.
A juggling performance, like a bubble of air, that opens up our imaginations and plunges us into a world filled with lightness and fantasy.
L’Envolée Circus
L’Envolée Cirque is a life perpetuated by exchange and transmission to defend the circus arts and itinerancy, under a big top, in circular pistographies.
Michèle D’Angelo and Laurent Barboux, masters of the flexible wire, co-founded L’Envolée in 1997. Then they felt the need to create their own space, their own projects, their own way of approaching the dance floor. L’Envolée became L’Envolée Cirque in 2002 with the acquisition of a big top for the creation of the show Et Moi, which toured for 4 years.
In 2012, after their training at L’Académie Fratellini, Pauline Barboux and her partner Jeanne Ragu, aerial dancers on Quadrisse, joined them, with a desire to share ideas.
Until 2018, the four artists co-wrote and toured several shows together under the big top(Le Voyage de Michü et Mr Lô précédé de Tanda, Traits d’Union), bringing together two generations of circus artists and an itinerant technical team, who took up the challenge of exchange, sharing and transmission.
In 2020, Pauline took over the artistic direction of L’Envolée Cirque, co-writing a number of shows with her partners: under the big top(ELLE/S) or for the off-road(Lichen, Le vertige de l’envers), imagining In Situ creations(Ceux qui nous hantent, in partnership with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux) and regularly invited to perform on carte blanche projects…
L’Envolée Cirque has taken off in a new direction, while continuing to defend its ethos: innovative creations featuring the circus arts, accompanied by original music, for all audiences, in all regions.
L’Envolée also supports projects by Nicolas Longuechaud – Cie Longshow (optical juggling, illusions, object manipulation).
L’Envolée Cirque has been subsidized by the DRAC Ile de France since 2021.
